The road to Big Sur is partially open. Two miles of Highway 1 between Lucia and Limekiln State Park remain closed due to repairs at Paul’s Slide. However, the segment of Highway 1 on the Big Sur coast from Cambria to Limekiln and from Monterey to Lucia remains open. So you can still access Big Sur.
The reopening of Highway 1 at Paul’s Slide is estimated for late Spring 2024.
