Part 5 | Dog-Friendly Cabin Weekend We loved our weekend at “Constellation Creek.” We’ve always struggled to find comfortable/modern accommodations that are dog friendly in the mountains, and affordable. Constellation checked a lot of those boxes. There are about 6 cabins on 6 acres, modern amenities like Casper mattresses, cotton linens and Smeg appliances, a cute shop and friendly owners on site (and their dog Blue). Constellation Creek is a rustic, family-owned cabin resort in this totally underrated area in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains just north of Tahoe called Sierraville. It’s a beautiful, less crowded alternative to Tahoe and Yosemite. . The resort itself is perfect for a woodsy getaway any time of the year, but especially lovely as a fall getaway, when guests can catch some great autumn colors and bird watching.
